Full Job Description

Vertis Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality autism assessments for adults aged 16 years and over. As a specialist Occupational Therapist, you will contribute expert occupational, sensory and functional assessment skills to support evidence-based diagnostic decision-making and deliver meaningful recommendations that improve quality of life and promote independence., The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct structured occupational, sensory and functional assessments for adults referred for autism assessment.
  • Explore the impact of autistic traits on daily living, employment, education, relationships and community participation.
  • Contribute specialist occupational therapy expertise to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions.
  • Produce high-quality assessment reports and recommendations.
  • Support the development of personalised support plans and reasonable adjustment recommendations.
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding, risk, mental health or capacity concerns appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, operational teams, GPs and external agencies.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, MDT meetings, audit and service improvement activities.
