Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist Reference: 90794 Trust: Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health Care NHS Trust Location: Kings Court, Charles Hastings Way, Worcester, Worcestershire, WR5 1JR Hours: 37.5 hours per week Pay Rates: £23.82 per hour (exc WTD) Why might this job interest you? What you can add: · Work with clients to identify occupational therapy goals as part of the overall care plan, using specialist mental health and occupational therapy assessment tools (MOHO tools). · Manage a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs (taking on the role of care co-ordinator and/or vocational lead where relevant). ·
Plan and implement client centred individual and/or group interventions using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals. · Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention. · Apply a high level of understanding of the effect of disability and provide training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the client's social ad physical environment. Assess the occupational needs of defined client group and establish and evaluate appropriate treatment programmes. · Provide a range of carer initiatives using psychoeducational approaches across the locality. · Provide education, consultation and advice to other care settings e.g. Nursing Homes, Primary Care and other specialist mental health services. · Have in depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act and implications on Occupational Therapy intervention. · Carry out complex risk assessment involving wide consultation and collaboration. What you'll need: ·
Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy · Current Health Professions Council registration · Specialist knowledge and application of occupational therapy assessments and interventions. · Current full driving licence - Able to meet the travel requirements of the role. · Significant post registration experience including experience within mental health · Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of · Relevant Qualifications · Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
