Occupational Therapist

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the multidisciplinary team at G1 Ward (specialist dementia unit) as a full-time permanent (37.5 hours per week) Band 5 Occupational Therapist. We are supportive of flexible working patterns. We are looking forward to hearing from newly qualified Occupational Therapists or existing band 5 Occupational Therapists who have an interest in further developing their clinical expertise within older adults mental health services. As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team you will undertake occupational assessments, formulations and care planning. You will deliver interventions on a 1 to 1 and group basis to achieve therapeutic goals which are appropriate to individual's needs. There is also opportunity to be involved in the service development work on the ward. You will be provided with regular supervision from the band 6 Occupational Therapist. Newly qualified occupational therapists will be supported with preceptorship. CPD opportunities are available to enhance your professional development.,

• To provide an occupational therapy service to a defined caseload of inpatients using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in hospital, community settings and on home visits.
• To maintain clinical records.
• To develop skills and knowledge through participation in preceptorship and PDR.
• To support with the learning of Occupational Therapy students on practice placement.
• With support to participate in the development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy Service on the ward.
