Occupational Therapist

As part of Shropshire Council's wider Occupational Therapy Service, this role sits within our Independent Living Service and provides an important early intervention offer for people across Shropshire. You will complete telephone-based assessments with adults who may be living with disability, long-term health conditions, frailty, or age-related changes that are impacting on their daily lives.

Using a person-centred and strengths-based approach, you will identify solutions that support individuals to remain safe, independent and confident within their own homes and communities. This may include the provision of equipment, home adaptations and referrals for more complex support where required.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in helping people maintain their independence, prevent escalation of need, and achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.
