Occupational Therapist

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to develop your skills in rehabilitation? In this rewarding role, you'll assess, treat and manage a varied caseload of patients with complex needs on our inpatient rehabilitation ward, delivering high-quality, person-centred care that supports patients to return home safely. Our supportive team offers excellent learning opportunities, including exposure to our specialist Rainbow Room providing palliative care and an eight-bed neuro-rehabilitation unit, allowing you to gain valuable experience across a range of clinical areas. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Weekend working is not currently part of the service but may be introduced in the future. We're looking for someone who has a degree in Occupational Therapy, a current HCPC registration and a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some sites are not reachable by public transport. • To provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team.
• To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of students.
• To identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
• To be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.
