Full Job Description

The North Sefton Planned Therapy Team are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team, to support with the delivery of high quality care for our service users. This is afixed 12 month period to cover maternity leave.

Working both autonomously and as part of the team, you will carry out assessments for adults in the community for equipment and adaptations to increase independence, safety and to assist people to remain in their own homes and care homes.

There are increasing numbers of people with long term complex conditions living in the community. These people need a range of adaptations and equipment to allow them to continue to live as safely and independently as possible.

The service involves community visits, assessing complex patients with multiple co-morbidities, within their homes (including care homes).

For internal secondment candidates please speak with your current manager first before applying for this role., To utilise developed specialist knowledge to provide the professional contribution within designated Occupational Therapy Services and to assist in the organisation, development, co-ordination and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Service in conjunction with the Clinical Principle Occupational Therapist and relevant Team/Service Manager.

The post holder will contribute to an environment that works with local services to provide evidence based assessment and delivery of care. They will continue with their own professional development and assist with that of other OT staff. They will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours to ensure that the needs of their clients are met.
