Occupational Therapist

Our Band 6 Occupational Therapists are crucial members of the team, providing high quality, evidence based Occupational Therapy interventions for people living with Cancer. Duties may include:

• Conducting comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments such as baseline assessments, functional assessments, cognitive assessments
• Developing and implementing individualised and holistic treatment plans in conjunction with patients
• Assessing environmental risks and prescription of equipment and adaptations to support patients to live well at home
• Taking a key role in organising and facilitating discharge planning
• Representing the Occupational Therapy team in Multidisciplinary team meetings and Boardrounds
• Promoting the OT role through training of the wider Multidisciplinary team
• Maintaining a high standard of clinical record keeping in accordance with HCPC guidelines
• Adhering to local and national guidelines and protocol
  
  We are seeking a suitably experienced Occupational Therapist who demonstrates our Trust values of being: Kind, Empowered, Inclusive and Responsible. You will have a varied and diverse caseload, supporting our Oncology patients to live well, with and beyond Cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The successful applicant will be supported by our wider Occupational Therapy team, consisting of 3 Band 7s, 3 Band 6s, plus Assistant Practitioners and Therapy Assistants who work across both OT and Physiotherapy. You will receive comprehensive induction and training, regular peer support, in service training and regular clinical supervision and appraisals Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is committed to flexible ways of working that balance the needs of our patients and our staff.
