As a Band 6 OT within our dedicated multidisciplinary team,you'llplay a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for patients.You will have the opportunity to build on your clinical skills while also taking on leadership and mentoring responsibilities for junior staff. In this role,you'lltake responsibility for a varied caseload, working with patients to assess their needs and provide interventions aimed at improving independence and functionality.You'llhave the chance to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, where your clinical reasoning and judgement will make a direct impact on patient outcomes. You will alsohave the opportunity tolead and mentor junior members of staff, sharing your knowledge,expertiseand passion for Occupational Therapy. You will be involved in key aspects of team development, teachingand contributing to clinical audits to improve the service we provide., Clinical Expertise & Patient Care

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' cognitive, sensory, visualand postural needs.
  • Develop personalised therapy plans to promote independence in self-care,productivityand leisure.
  • Manage a caseload of varying complexity, demonstratingstrong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Prescribe and monitorassistive equipment, ensuring proper usage and training.
  • Leadership & Supervision
  • Mentor and supervise junior staffandstudents, providing guidance and training.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the therapy team leader, overseeing the OT caseload.
  • Facilitate learning by providing teaching and formal supervision to staff and students.
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, carersand other healthcare professionals.
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Ensure accurateandtimelydocumentation using electronic patient records.
  • Professional Development & Research
  • Stay updated with best practice guidelines, contributing to service improvement through audits and research.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through training and conferences.
  • Support OT students and staff training across disciplines.
