Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism aged 4-19. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state-of-the-art facilities for our students.


We are looking to appoint a qualified band 5 or band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a growing therapy team at Oaklands in working directly with young people to support them accessing education.


The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience working with young adults who have very complex needs including PMLD, SLD and autism. You will be able to design and deliver sensory integration programmes. You will liaise with service providers and parents to ensure that therapy is delivered as required at school and home.


Oaklands School Therapy Team is led by our Therapy Team Lead. The successful candidate will join the therapy team at Oaklands and work across both our 2 sites. This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills and embed yourself in the school community to support our children and young people in achieving the best functional outcomes.

The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment induction including safeguarding assessment.
