Are you a newly qualified or experienced Occupational Therapist wanting a change in career direction with potential for promotion? Redditch and Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Teams are growing our OT resource recognising how essential it is to support patient discharges and unnecessary hospital admissions. A Neighbourhood Team Community OT role is fast paced and responsive to urgent referrals and works closely with other nursing and therapy roles. Making a patients home safer and guiding the promotion of independence is where the OT really adds value to the patient experience. This is full time post, but we would consider applicants looking for part time. Good opportunities exist for further training and development within the role. You will be joining an enthusiastic, supportive, and friendly team where you will receive support and development through in-service training, regular appraisals, a personal development plan and clinical supervision. If you would like to discuss this role, informally contact the Recruiting Manager found on the top right-hand side of the advert who will be happy to discuss the role in more detail.Main duties of the job A day shift is 7.5hrs between the hours of 7:30am 18.30 pm, Monday to Sunday including bank holidays). and working weekends will attract an enhancement payment. Your typical day will include coordinating your caseload, triaging referrals, allocating workload and prioritising urgent response assessments alongside colleagues. The role will involve you: Undertaking occupational therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the client in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure. Assessing clients: In relation to their equipment and specialist equipment needs. For minor adaptations eg rails, half steps. Maintain contemporaneous clinical notes to professional minimum standards of the College of Occupational Therapy and in accordance with Trust guidelines.
