Milton Keynes College Prison Services Team is seeking Occasional Tutors to join our education team at HMP Springhill and Grendon. This is a unique opportunity to share your creativity with learners. The occasional tutor will provide cover for existing tutors in a range of subjects including English, Maths. We are looking for teachers who can deliver engaging, hands-on sessions across the curriculum. Whether you are an experienced tutor or seeking move into teaching with the prison setting, your passion and creativity are what matter most.

  • Maths & English Tutors are needed to cover and enrich our curriculum.
  • A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential - if you have industry experience or a strong subject specialism, we will support you to gain a teaching qualification.
  • Education runs all year round, Monday-Thursday (08:30-11:30 and 13:00-16:00 at Springhill or 13:30-16:30 at Grendon), with morning sessions on Fridays at Springhill from 08:30-11:30. Flexibility around the prison regime is required.
