Full Job Description
We are recruiting an Advisor within our national Nutrients and Nature Recovery team to help address one of the most significant environmental challenges facing the water environment: nutrient pollution. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key supporting role in delivering our ambition for a balanced and sustainable nutrient system, where nutrients are appropriately valued, improving environmental quality and enabling sustainable growth. As part of a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with colleagues across the organisation and building relationships with a diverse range of external partners, you will help drive a step change in our approach to current and emerging nutrient pollution challenges. A key focus of the role will be leading engagement with our Area Integrated Environment Planning Specialists to support the effective implementation of Diffuse Water Pollution Plan actions. You will coordinate activity, share learning and best practice, and help these plans evolve to continue responding effectively to emerging issues. The role also offers the opportunity to support a wider programme of work across the team, including nutrient neutrality, innovative nutrient reduction approaches, and the development of new strategies to address nutrient pollution and support nature recovery.,
- Drive engagement and partnership working through delivery of a nutrients engagement framework for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage contracts and projects that enable innovative approaches to nutrient management.
- Track and report on programme delivery.

- Have a basic understanding of the different sectors involved in nutrient management
- Be able to effectively communicate with a range of audiences.
- Have experience of working collaboratively and developing and sharing technical expertise with others
- Have experience of project and/ or programme management
- Have managed contracts and have experience of working with procurement systems
- Be able to deal with complex situations by adopting a pragmatic approach to achieve the best outcome.
- Be able to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and actively encourage others to consider diversity issues in their work. You'll have a range of development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.
