Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The School of Nursing & Public Health is recruiting Nursing Students to support clearing & confirmation in August. Clearing & confirmation is one of the busiest times at the university, and your role will be working within the clearing team, using a script to interview applicants to the BSc Nursing and FdSc Nursing Associate programmes. Other tasks will include phoning applicants to request evidence of qualifications, provide information about the Nursing programmes, and general admin support for the clearing team. Full training will be given for this role, and you will be working alongside university staff who will offer on-the-job support. You will need to be available for all the dates and times of work listed below, but please note you may be taken off duty earlier depending on operational need. Dates and Times: Wednesday 12th August - 2 hours training in the Brooks Building - 10 - 12 Thursday 13^th August - up to 12.5 hours in the Business School - start 07.30am, Manchester Metropolitan University is committed to supporting the rights, responsibilities, dignity, health and wellbeing of staff and students through our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
This role is only open to current Manchester Met Nursing Students who meet the following requirements -
- You will need to be available to work all the dates and times specified, including essential training on the 12^th August.
- Confident and comfortable answering speaking on the phone and responding to queries
- Able to follow a script when interviewing candidates and use a scoring guide to score applicant's responses
- Able to follow instructions, work independently and report back to clearing staff
