Nursing - Senior Sister / Charge Nurse - Accident & Emergency

Members of the Senior Nursing Team will require strong management and leadership qualities, whilst overseeing the team to deliver the highest possible patient care. It will support the Department Matron to drive forward evidence based practice and take responsibility for the supervision of staff and the policies and practices that operate within their clinical area.

The post holder to lead and develop a team of nurses assigned to them whilst impacting on all the nurses in the department. There is a significant focus on The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust's (SaTH's) ED quality agenda which is monitored strictly by the CQC.

It is advocated you will participate in cross site working., The well-being of our staff is of the upmost importance to us. If you are offered a role at our Trust, and fall into the increased and higher risk categories as set out by Public Health England (PHE) and NHSI/E, your line manager will complete an risk assessment with you. This will be completed in conjunction with the latest guidance from Public Health England in relation to Covid-19.
