Nursing Associate

Make a meaningful difference in specialist mental health care by joining the UK's foremost OCD and BDD treatment centre as a Band 4 Nursing Associate. Working within our National OCD/BDD Service, you will provide high-quality, compassionate and recovery-focused care to people with complex mental health needs who have not responded to previous treatments.

Based at Seacole Ward, a 14-bed specialist inpatient unit within Springfield University Hospital, you will work alongside Registered Nurses, Psychiatrists, CBT Therapists and Occupational Therapists to support service users throughout their treatment journey. You will play a key role in delivering therapeutic care, monitoring physical and mental wellbeing, supporting care planning and promoting recovery and independence.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills in OCD and BDD care within a nationally commissioned NHS England Tier 6 service. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nursing Associate who is committed to providing outstanding patient-centred care and contributing positively to a specialist multidisciplinary team.

As a Band 4 Nursing Associate, you will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within our specialist OCD/BDD inpatient service.

You will work closely with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, undertake physical health monitoring, support therapeutic interventions and encourage service users to engage in treatment and recovery-focused activities. You will contribute to maintaining a safe and therapeutic ward environment, recognising and escalating concerns appropriately, and supporting service users with their physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing.

The role involves developing positive therapeutic relationships, contributing to accurate clinical documentation, assisting with admissions and discharges, supporting medication management within your scope of practice, and promoting independence, dignity and recovery for all service users.
