An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our well established team., You will be working on the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit here at Wythenshawe hospitalAs a Nursing Assistant you will be a key member of our nursing team providing support with our registered nurses to patients and families. You will be able to work on own initiative, following direction by Registered Nurse. You will need to have: Excellent communication skills - in particular listening skills A friendly, open, empathetic and compassionate communication style A strong ability to engage with patients, visitors and colleagues The ability to work well in a team,

  • Holds National Care Certificate or be willing to undertake and complete within 12 weeks of starting
  • Holds Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or GCSE equivalent or undertake and achieve a pass following completion of level 1 functional skills assessment
  • Gain equivalent knowledge and skill undertaking the Trust Clinical Support Worker Development Programme
  • Knowledge and experience Essential
  • Experience working in a healthcare, social care organisation/setting or service industry requiring people contact
  • Desirable
  • Experience of working within a health care environment.
  • Skills Essential
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Able to work as a team
  • Able to carry out well defined routine tasks
  • Able to work on own initiative, following direction/supervision by a Registered Healthcare Practitioner
