Nursery Trainee Apprentice

Introduction

Start your career at Bright Little Stars Nursery! As an Apprentice, you'll earn while gaining hands-on experience in our nurturing Barnet setting. Receive 1-to-1 coaching and fully funded Level 2 or 3 qualifications through Connect2EarlyYears, with hot staff lunches, your birthday off, and clear progression to Room Leader and management.

The first step into the wonderful childcare industry could be an Early Years Apprenticeship. This offers you the chance to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification as well as providing you with hands on experience.

What You'll Do

• Support children's learning through play, creativity, and outdoor exploration
• Build warm, caring relationships with children and their families
• Assist with daily routines, including healthy meals, naps, and personal care
• Help plan and deliver fun, engaging indoor and outdoor activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children
• Follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times
• Communicate positively with parents, colleagues, and visitors

Training Outcome

Apprentice → Deputy Room Leader → Room Leader → Relief Deputy Manager → Deputy Manager → Nursery Manager.

Working Arrangements

Working Week: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, set shifts 9am–3:30pm in Year 1). Option to work 40 hours per week on rotating shifts between 8am–5pm and 9am–6pm.
