Nursery Teacher - Burnley Area

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a highly regarded early years setting in Burnley. This role would suit a skilled practitioner with a strong understanding of Early Years education and a commitment to inclusive practice. This is a particularly exciting opportunity for a candidate who either holds a SENCo qualification or has the ambition and potential to train as a SENCo, with support from the setting. Please note: This role requires an experienced teacher-Early Career Teachers (ECTs) cannot be supported.

Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching within Early Years / Nursery settings
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and assessment practices
  • Demonstrable experience supporting children with SEND
  • Ability to create a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare

Desirable

  • SENCo qualification or willingness to undertake SENCo training
  • Experience working in a maintained nursery or similar early years setting
  • Strong understanding of early intervention strategies
