Full Job Description
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. You will work closely with your room team to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, while building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.,
- Support the delivery of engaging activities tailored to each child's development and interests
- Help maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes and daily routines
- Assist with personal care, including feeding, changing and hygiene
- Keep accurate records such as registers, accidents and observations
- Work as a key person for a small group of children, supporting their development and wellbeing
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers
- Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times
- Contribute to a warm, caring and inclusive nursery environment

- Willingness to complete required training (including safeguarding and first aid)
- Basic literacy skills to support record keeping
- Ability to work professionally, respectfully and confidentially Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working in an early years setting
- A Level 2 childcare qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Knowledge of child development for ages 0-5
