Full Job Description
- Support children's learning and development through play
- Assist with activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Help create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment
- Support qualified practitioners with group activities and observations
- Assist children with mealtimes, hygiene and daily routines
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Maintain accurate records and respect confidentiality
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures
- Participate in training and team meetings Apprenticeship Information You will work towards a recognised Early Years qualification, combining practical nursery experience with structured training and development. You will receive guidance from experienced practitioners while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Nursery Practitioner.
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Friendly, patient and caring personality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Able to use initiative and follow instructions
- English and Maths GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above
- Previous experience with children would be advantageous but is not essential
