Full Job Description

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Create engaging activities based around children's interests and developmental needs.
  • Encourage children to make the most of the nursery's free-flow indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Support children's confidence, independence and curiosity through play and exploration.
  • Act as a Key Person, developing strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Observe children's progress and use their individual interests to plan appropriate next steps.
  • Support children's daily routines and individual care needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and stimulating nursery environment.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
  • All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.

  • Full and relevant
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous
  • experience within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Confidence creating engaging, child-led learning opportunities.
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and encouraging children's independence.
  • A caring, positive and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
