Full Job Description
- Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
- Create engaging activities based around children's interests and developmental needs.
- Encourage children to make the most of the nursery's free-flow indoor and outdoor environments.
- Support children's confidence, independence and curiosity through play and exploration.
- Act as a Key Person, developing strong relationships with children and their families.
- Observe children's progress and use their individual interests to plan appropriate next steps.
- Support children's daily routines and individual care needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and stimulating nursery environment.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety at all times. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Confidence creating engaging, child-led learning opportunities.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and encouraging children's independence.
- A caring, positive and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
