Full Job Description
Little King's Nursery, part of the prestigious King's School Rochester, is seeking an experienced and inspiring Nursery Manager to lead our thriving early years setting from July 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional to play a key role within our highly respected independent school community, shaping an exceptional learning environment for children aged 2 years and above.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of Little King's Nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, teaching, and operational excellence. You will lead and motivate a dedicated team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture where children are nurtured to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Working closely with families, colleagues, and the wider school community, you will oversee the delivery of a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum, maintain a safe and stimulating environment, and drive continuous improvement through effective self-evaluation and quality assurance. The role also includes responsibility for safeguarding, staff development, admissions support, and promoting the Nursery through events and community engagement activities.
We are looking for a confident and organised leader with strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding early years education and care.
This role would suit an experienced Nursery Manager or an ambitious senior early years professional ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
