Nursery Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a high-quality early years setting in Rickmansworth. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of early years practitioners
• Ensure the delivery of outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework
• Manage occupancy levels and support business growth
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders
• Monitor and maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene
• Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively
• Conduct staff appraisals, supervisions, and ongoing training
  
  Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5 or above preferred)
• Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• A genuine passion for early years education and child development
Desirable
• Paediatric First Aid certification
• Safeguarding training (DSL level preferred)
• Experience with nursery management software
