Nursery Cleaner

Develop routines to ensure all areas of the nursery are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Responsible to: Nursery Managers Main duties Undertake daily cleaning tasks including:

• Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the Manager
• Lock or unlock the building securely
• Cleaning and disinfecting children's toilets and sinks
• Sweeping and mopping children's toilet floors
• Disinfecting key touch points (door handles, light switches etc)
• Vacuuming and mopping children's playroom floors
• Vacuuming and mopping corridor and reception area floors
• Vacuuming and mopping staff room
• Cleaning and disinfecting staff toilets and sinks
• Sweeping and mopping staff toilet floors
• Dusting and Vacuuming office
• Cleaning glass and dusting in reception area
Undertake periodic deep cleaning tasks including:
• Clean behind equipment
• Clean skirting boards, walls, door frames and doors
• Disinfecting bins in all rooms
• Clean the windows and frames inside and out
• Clean front door and post box
• Dust vents and guards
• Undertake any other duties as may be required from time-to-time
