Part Time Nursery Chef Level 3 Qualification Essential RAFAKidz Nursery, RAF Honington, Bury St Edmonds IP31 1LJ 15 hours per week £13.80 per hour

With our friendly team and small room sizes, we offer exciting daily experiences. Located near Bury St Edmunds and Thetford, our RAFAKidz family enjoys trips, picnics, parties, and outdoor learning. We provide enriching experiences for every child, regardless of ability, background, or circumstances, helping them develop confidence and reach their potential.

About you

As our Chef, you will need stamina, patience, creativity, and imagination, with lots of great ideas to enhance mealtimes. The key responsibilities include:

• Planning, preparation, and serving of age-appropriate, nutritious, and well-balanced meals and snacks catering to children’s individual dietary requirements and food allergies


• Ordering, controlling, storing, and rotating kitchen stock


• Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen is maintained at the highest standards in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation

An essential requirement is a minimum Level 3 qualification in food hygiene, along with excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency. This post requires a satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter.
