Introduction
Are you looking to train in childcare? Friendly, local nursery in Fratton, Portsmouth are looking for a Level 3 Nursery Apprentice to join their team. You will be acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them.
About the Employer
Little Learners Day Care founded in September 2004 at Nuffield Health Club, Hilsea. Three years later we relocated to a beautiful lodge in the heart of Portsmouth, which is situated in the grounds of St Marys Park, Fratton.
Little Learners believes that every child matters, we provide a secure, fun, caring, nurturing and educating environment for your child, we are very lucky that our lodge is all on one level and our children are able to interact with all our children and our team we are one big happy family, we have three age groups which have their own large rooms which are set out for the children to have free flow to all areas of learning. We have wonderful large garden, which has many exciting areas for the children to explore and learn through play.
What You'll Do
- Creating warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally
- Under supervision you will provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
- Acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them
- Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Being aware of the nurseries policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
- Completing all work to desired timescales as set by Showcase Trainer
Training Outcome
Upon completing your Level 3 Apprenticeship, you may be offered a full-time position and further training if you're the right candidate for the role.
