An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate cardiac nurse to join the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Nurse Specialist Team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover. This is an opportunity to join a specialist regional service providing person-centred care to adults living with congenital heart disease across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man. The successful candidate will work closely with cardiologists, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role will involve providing specialist nursing care, advice, education and support to patients, families and carers, delivering ACHD outpatient clinics and contributing to the assessment, management and ongoing care of patients with complex congenital heart conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your specialist expertise within an experienced regional ACHD service and make a meaningful difference to patients living with congenital heart disease. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will provide specialist nursing care and support to adults with congenital heart disease across the regional ACHD service. Key responsibilities will include delivering specialist ACHD outpatient clinics, providing expert advice and education to patients and families, supporting the assessment and ongoing management of patients with complex congenital heart conditions, and coordinating care across the multidisciplinary and regional service. The role will also involve supporting specialist clinics, including transition, cardiac maternity and outreach services, contributing to patient education and self-management, and promoting continuity and quality of care. The successful candidate will be appointed at Band 6 or Band 7, depending on their previous experience, knowledge and clinical competence. A structured development pathway will be available for candidates appointed at Band 6 to support progression to Band 7.,

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Relevant post-registration qualification in a cardiac speciality
• Evidence of postgraduate study and ongoing continuing professional development relevant to the role
• Mentorship / practice assessor qualification, or equivalent experience in supporting learners in practice
Desirable
• Postgraduate qualification in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD)
• MSc or working towards a Master's level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice, Cardiology, or a relevant speciality
• Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
• Advanced assessment / clinical examination qualification
• Teaching or education qualification
