Nurse Practitioner, Adnexal & Medical Retina Service

The post holder in collaboration with the Matron, Advanced Nurse Practitioner's and the Multidisciplinary team is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective care leading to an excellent experience for patients and carers by; o Being responsible for ensuring high quality, evidence based patient centred care is delivered and providing assurance of this whilst delivering the Trusts core objectives and strategies. o Being responsible for setting the standards with the nursing team and ensuring that the environment allows the workforce to feel supported to deliver safe and effective care. o Developing and delivering continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the service meets all Quality Indicator targets, Key performance indicators and quality and safety standards and initiatives relevant to the service. Reviewing and implementing the management of patient pathways to improve flow and efficiency in the wards/departments/clinics, ensuring the patients experience is positive while under our care,

• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for patients receiving Adnexal and Medical Retina services, while providing assurance that care meets national, local, and Trust standards.
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team and multidisciplinary colleagues to establish and maintain high standards of clinical practice and patient safety.
• Leading and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives to achieve Quality Indicators, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality and safety standards relevant to the service.
• Supporting the development and implementation of clinical pathways to improve patient flow, service efficiency, and clinical outcomes across outpatient, diagnostic, and treatment settings.
• Providing advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient management within the scope of Adnexal and Medical Retina practice.
• Contributing to the education, supervision, and development of nursing and allied healthcare colleagues to promote excellence in patient care.
• Ensuring that patients and carers receive a positive, compassionate, and seamless experience throughout their care journey.
