An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Division's senior nursing leadership team as our Senior Nurse (8b).
We are seeking an high quality focused, compassionate and innovativeSenior Nurse to lead nursing services across variousSurgical Specialties, Imaging, Critical Care and Theatres.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centred care across a diverse portfolio of services.
The Senior Nurse for Surgical Specialties, Imaging, Critical Care and Theatres provides strategic and operational nursing leadership across the division, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate patient care while maintaining high standards of quality, governance and patient experience.
The post holder leads and supports matrons, specialist nurses and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical, workforce and financial objectives, translating Trust nursing strategy into measurable service outcomes.
Key responsibilities include workforce planning, recruitment and retention, professional development, quality improvement, risk management, implementation of PSIRF methodology, and leading innovation and service transformation programmes. Working closely with Clinical Directors, General Managers and other senior leaders, the Senior Nurse promotes research, education and evidence-based practice, drives performance against key targets, ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and champions a culture of continuous improvement, staff wellbeing, equality, diversity and patient-centred care.
