Nurse Hysteroscopist

As a senior member of the team, you will provide visible clinical leadership and work closely with consultant, nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues. You will support the development of junior staff and learners and contribute to clinical governance, risk management, audit, patient feedback, quality improvement, guideline development and service development within the hysteroscopy service. At MKUH, you will be supported to maintain your advanced clinical skills, continuing competence and professional development while helping us improve outcomes and experiences for patients using our service.You must be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and hold a nationally recognised British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy Nurse Hysteroscopy qualification. You will have significant post-registration experience in gynaecology and nurse-led services, with evidence of autonomous practice as a qualified Nurse Hysteroscopist. A teaching, mentoring, Practice Assessor or Practice Supervisor qualification is essential. Completion of an accredited diagnostic hysteroscopy and therapeutic management programme is desirable.

• Autonomously assess patients and undertake nurse-led diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient hysteroscopy clinics within agreed scope of practice, professional standards and local/national guidance.
