Nurse Associate - Sexual Health

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Nurse Associate post in Trafford within the field of Sexual Health and Contraception at The Northern Sexual Health Service. Our main clinic is The Urmston Clinic and we also work across 3 spoke clinics within Trafford., o Under indirect supervision and working in partnership with a Registered Nurse provide and deliver a high standard of nursing care, contributing to the ongoing assessment, providing and monitoring evidence-based care and working in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team. Including nursing associate led clinics. o Provide leadership/training and support to the nursing assistant team o Undertake health advising activities under indirect supervision and in partnership with the registered nursing health advising team o Safely undertake the following procedures to meet the patient's nursing needs to include; undertaking routine procedures including sexual health screening, venepuncture, microscopy, undertake blood pressure and pulse measurement, urine and pregnancy tests. o Undertake safe and effective administration and optimisation of medicines in accordance with Trust policy and the NMC standards of proficiency for Nursing Associates.

• Administer prescribed medicines via the following routes; oral, topical, rectal, subcutaneous and intramuscular in line with NMC Standards and Trust policies.
