What we are looking for

Are you looking to become a valued member of a team of passionate professionals committed to delivering high-quality physical education and sport that promotes excellence, participation and success?

We are seeking someone to join Northampton School for Boys - recognised as 'Secondary School of the Year' at the Northamptonshire Education Awards and 'Comprehensive School of the Year' in the East Midlands for 2025 - the third time we have secured this honour in The Times and The Sunday Times 'Best Schools Guide', based on our outstanding outcomes.

The PE and Sport department at NSB is a team of dedicated professionals offering an outstanding education alongside an extensive extra-curricular programme. As NSB Sport Support Lead, you will play a central role in supporting a highly successful department that values organisation, teamwork and innovation. This varied role includes oversight of equipment auditing, storage and maintenance; sourcing and ordering resources; monitoring deliveries; and maintaining accurate inventories. You will prepare team kits for fixtures, support lesson preparation, and assist with events such as Sports Days, Open Evenings and Sport Awards Evening.

You will also support displays, reprographics and lost property, and contribute to the management of our video analysis programme (VEO), assisting staff and students in its use. Additional responsibilities include first aid support, lifeguarding duties (training provided), and supporting Sixth Form lessons or PE cover where required.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive individual with a passion for sport and education. If you thrive in a busy environment and want to contribute to a high-performing school culture, we would love to hear from you.

How to apply

We welcome all interested applicants to arrange a telephone/video call so that you can learn more about NSB and what we could offer you as a member of staff. Please take a few moments to visit our website to learn more about the school and our reputation for delivering both academic and extracurricular success.

Application forms can be found via the school website on the 'Vacancies' page. Please send your completed application form to hr@nsb.northants.sch.uk. Alternatively, please apply through the TES or TeachNorthants portal. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
