Experteer Overview As Health Economics Manager, you shape commissioning, transformation and investment decisions for Norfolk and Suffolk. You will lead economic evaluation, modelling and business case development to maximise value for patients and the health system. You join a high-performing Intelligence Function that informs strategic decisions and supports service redesign and population health outcomes. You will influence senior decision-making and help build capability across the Integrated Care System. This role offers meaningful impact through innovative econometric approaches. Pay / Benefits
- Lead health economic analysis to identify and appraise transformation schemes Support commissioners to develop the economic case and ensure robust business cases ahead of Board Provide independent economic assurance and critical appraisal of economic elements in business cases Horizon-scan national policy and align economic cases to unlock funding Advise on market management across planned care, mental health, community and place-based services Develop standardised tools, methods and guidance for economic evaluation and benefits quantification Communicate methods and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Ensure compliance with information governance, GDPR and NHS data standards Tasks Masters-level qualification or equivalent experience in analytical, statistical, numerical or health economics field Strong experience applying health economics methods (cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, budget impact, ROI, scenario modelling) in healthcare Experience developing the economic component of business cases (HM Treasury Five Case Model) and translating benefits into cashable savings Ability to explain complex information to senior or non-technical audiences Ability to plan across short, medium and long-term horizons and manage changing priorities Eligible to lead and coordinate analysts and manage external economics support Experience in economic appraisal and evaluation applying the HM Treasury Green Book; advanced spreadsheet-based modelling Key requirements flexible working permanent contract Band 8a salary 57,528 to 64,750 per year opportunity to influence senior decision-making collaborative team environment
