As NPIP Range Control Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the successful introduction of service parts throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle. You'll lead the planning, sourcing and delivery of new service parts, ensuring they are available on time, to specification and within budget. Acting as a key link between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, sales, logistics and suppliers, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting product launches and maintaining operational excellence across the World Parts Centre network. What does this role involve day to day?

  • Leading Service Parts NPI projects through a structured, gated NPI process, taking full ownership from concept through to launch.
  • Managing project plans, milestones, resources and budgets to ensure service parts readiness aligns with overall product introduction targets.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure engineering changes are assessed, controlled and delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Acting as the primary interface between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the NPI lifecycle.
  • Engaging suppliers to ensure new parts meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
  • Identifying, assessing and mitigating risks associated with service parts introduction, proactively resolving technical, supply or timing issues.
  • Applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex challenges and deliver robust outcomes.
  • Developing, maintaining and optimising the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Ensuring NPI documentation, standards and governance processes are followed and continuously improved.
  • Supporting quality systems and compliance requirements across the NPI process.
  • Managing and supporting buyers within the team to ensure materials are delivered on time.

You have proven experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • You have hands-on experience of the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.
  • You possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and quality systems.
  • You are an effective communicator who can build strong relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • You are a confident project leader with a structured, delivery-focused approach.
  • You are highly analytical, comfortable solving complex problems and managing risk.
  • You are organised, detail-driven and comfortable working to gated processes.
  • You are a decisive professional, able to balance competing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • You are committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Technical skills & qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of SAP (preferred).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • A relevant engineering qualification is desirable.
