Non-Nuclear Senior Support Engineer

As a Non-Nuclear Senior Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in supporting the management, compliance, safety and long-term stewardship of non-nuclear assets across one of the UK's most significant engineering and defence sites. Working within the Non-Nuclear Plant Management team, you'll help ensure critical infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fit for the future, supporting operational delivery and investment decisions that have a direct impact on national capability.
Day-to-day you'll be required to:
Supporting engineering compliance, asset management and safety activities across non-nuclear plant assets.
Conducting asset surveys, investigations and technical assessments to support informed decision-making.
Managing asset registration, disposal, concessions and deviation processes in line with business requirements.
Collaborating with maintenance, project and operational teams to improve asset performance and compliance.
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term infrastructure and investment strategies.

Essential experience of the Non-Nuclear Senior Support Engineer
Demonstrable experience supporting asset management, maintenance or compliance-related activities.
Understanding of engineering design principles and safe engineering practices.
Awareness of relevant statutory legislation relating to non-nuclear assets.
Working knowledge of Maximo or similar Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across a diverse engineering environment., HND in an engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant engineering experience.
