Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Medical Secretary to provide a valuable support service to Medicine Division at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The post is Band 3 and the successful candidate will be working 37.5 hours per week. This is a 6 month secondment., The post holder will produce accurate clinical and general correspondence, regularly using complex and sensitive medical terminology from audio transcription. You will also be required to respond to telephone calls from anxious and distressed patients, responding appropriately to contentious, sensitive and difficult enquiries. The successful applicant will gain valuable experience within a busy Medical Secretaries office., The well-being of our staff is of the upmost importance to us. If you are offered a role at our Trust, and fall into the increased and higher risk categories as set out by Public Health England (PHE) and NHSI/E, your line manager will complete an risk assessment with you. This will be completed in conjunction with the latest guidance from Public Health England in relation to Covid-19.

Qualifications: You will hold RSA level 3 or equivalent experience and you must possess excellent audio typing skills. Educated to GSCE level or equivalent. Experience within a medical environment is desirable but is not essential.
