Node.js Engineer

We are looking for outstanding Software Engineers to work on a large payments transformation programme at DWP. • Knowledge and experience of APIs, RESTful services and Microservice Architectures.
• Demonstrable experience in developing on cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure.
• A good understanding of Test Driven Development(TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development(BDD).
• Experience of SQL or NoSQL database applications such as Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience and the skills to build up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment.
• Knowledge and experience of developing large scale systems using open-source technologies like JavaScript, Node.js.
You and your role This is a role working on our payments products, so a background in payments would be helpful. But it's not a requirement. You will be building robust and accessible User Interfaces (UIs) that work for as many users as possible, regardless of their needs.
