Full Job Description
The NMGH New Hospital Project Safety Manager shall be an integral member of the Project Delivery Team responsible for planning, managing, co-ordinating and assuring health and safety across all the project and sub-projects providing construction health and safety advice and expertise during pre-construction, construction and post-construction stages and which shall include undertaking site Health & Safety inspections and audits., The NMGH New Hospital Project Safety Manager shall be responsible for ensuring the Trust complies with its legal obligations in relation to the management and delivery of construction-related projects and specifically the Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act (2022). The role shall also be responsible for manging specialist construction related professional advisers in connection with the delivery of the Project and ensuring that all other parties are compliant with legal obligations and that Projects within the remit of the Programme adopt and promote best-practice safety measures and practices. The role shall be responsible for the drafting, management and review of specific H&S policies in connection with the delivery of the New Hospital Project and wider NM Programme including the production of regular compliance reports and the delivery of general awareness training and briefings. The role is expected to contribute effectively to
design and construction related meetings and be able to constructively challenge solutions providing alternative effective solutions.to ensure the best-practice health and safety is embedded., As a senior manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our strategic objectives. You will lead complex programmes, drive operational excellence, and influence Trust-wide transformation, working collaboratively with or through Executive and Clinical Leaders to deliver sustainable improvements for our patients, staff, and communities.
