The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established 24-hour veterinary hospital in Dorset. Located close to the stunning Jurassic Coast, this multi-disciplinary hospital provides out-of-hours care for several local practices, offering an interesting and diverse emergency and critical care caseload.
The successful candidate will work alongside a skilled and supportive team of veterinary professionals, including certificate holders across a range of disciplines. The hospital is exceptionally well equipped, including an on-site CT scanner, allowing the team to deliver outstanding patient care while supporting continued clinical development.
This is a sole charge night role, supported by an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse, making it ideal for a confident vet who enjoys emergency work and independent decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Minimum of 3 years' UK small animal experience
- Previous emergency and critical care experience is desirable
- Confident working in a sole charge environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care

The Rota
This part-time position offers an excellent work-life balance, working:
- Two night shifts (Monday and Tuesday) every three weeks
- Hours: 6:45pm - 9:00am
- Average of approximately 9.5 hours per week
