Night Senior Care Assistant

Responsible for providing high-quality care and support to residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility support.

Supervise and support care staff during night shifts.

Administer medication in line with prescriptions, training and care home policies.

Carry out regular night checks and monitor residents' health and wellbeing.

Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' conditions.

Respond promptly to emergencies, falls and safeguarding concerns.

Maintain accurate care records, medication charts and daily reports.

Ensure infection control, health and safety procedures are followed.

Promote residents' dignity, privacy, independence and choice.

Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide a clear handover to day staff.
