We're seeking a professional, approachable and resilient individual who can combine strong security experience with outstanding customer service skills.If you're calm under pressure, enjoy variety in your role and take pride in helping others, we'd love to hear from you.What you'll do:Providing exceptional customer service to students, visitors, contractors and university stakeholdersResponding effectively to incidents, emergencies and welfare concernsManaging fire alarms, security incidents, medical emergencies and anti-social behaviour situationsConducting site patrols using RFID technology and identifying any potential risks or maintenance issuesMonitoring CCTV systems and access control proceduresSupporting student wellbeing by offering assistance and escalating concerns appropriatelyCompleting accurate incident reports and maintaining compliance recordsManaging parcel deliveries and collections through the Parcel Tracker systemSupporting the on-site café operation when requiredCarrying out caretaking duties to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environmentAssisting with winter maintenance activities, including gritting and snow clearanceUndertaking basic maintenance and compliance checks across the accommodation siteBuilding positive relationships with students from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds What you bring:Valid SIA Door Supervision or Manned Guarding LicenceCurrent First Aid at Work CertificateMinimum of 2 years' frontline security experienceExperience working with young adults aged 17-25Proven track record of delivering excellent customer serviceAbility to engage positively with people from diverse backgrounds and culturesExperience managing challenging, sensitive or high-pressure situationsStrong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to changing demandsDesirable ExperienceSIA CCTV LicenceStudent accommodation, education or university environment experienceExperience investigating incidents and producing detailed reportsFacilities, residence life or accommodation support experienceWhat we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
