The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is preparing to open its doors, and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and be part of an exciting new chapter from day one. With 55 bedrooms, 196 internal covers and 148 external covers, this is a substantial, food-led operation with ambitious plans, located in the heart of Grasmere.
Whatever your role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences and help establish The Wordsworth Inn as a destination known for outstanding hospitality.

You'll Fit Right Inn

As a Night Porter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout the night. If you're friendly, approachable, and have excellent customer service skills, this could be the perfect fit for you! We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while staying organised.

Your responsibilities will include greeting and checking guests in and out, assisting with inquiries at reception, the bar, or over the phone, and serving guests professionally. You'll also help keep the restaurant, lounge, and facilities clean and tidy, prepare the restaurant for breakfast service, and set up the buffet table. In addition, you'll patrol the premises to perform security checks and ensure a safe environment for everyone.
