Night Porter

We're opening our doors soon and we're building a team that's as warm, grounded and full of personality as the city we call home.
What you'll be doing:
You'll take ownership of the hotel overnight, working independently with confidence, consistency and strong attention to detail. While the hotel rests, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and that guests feel supported, safe and well looked after at all times.
Acting as the main point of contact throughout the night, you'll welcome late arrivals, assist with early departures and respond to guest enquiries with a calm, friendly and professional approach-always reassuring, always present. You'll follow all safety, security and operational procedures, maintaining awareness of the hotel and responding appropriately to anything unexpected.
No two nights are the same. You'll balance routine overnight tasks with the natural unpredictability of guest needs, staying organised, proactive and one step ahead. Your work plays a vital role in ensuring the hotel feels seamless, welcoming and ready for the day team by morning.
You'll be a quiet ambassador for The Medlock, bringing our brand to life through thoughtful service, reliability and the high standards you uphold-often behind the scenes, but essential to the guest experience.
Our hotel never stops, and neither does the care behind it. We operate 365 days a year, with night shift patterns designed to reflect the rhythm of the business. Specific hours and working patterns can be discussed at interview.
