Job Description

Fixed Term contract until 31/7/27

Are you interested in sharing your love of learning with inspiring and courageous young people, alongside a passionate and motivated staff team?

Our Inclusive Learning team is offering an exciting opportunity for a new Lecturer to join us for the next academic year on a fixed term contract. We are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential, not only in their chosen subjects but also by developing essential life and employability skills. We encourage students to be themselves - creative, imaginative, and confident individuals - and our goal is to ensure they leave college with the tools they need to succeed in the future. Our Inclusive Learning provision supports students with learning difficulties and disabilities, offering courses from Entry Level 1 to Level 1. These programmes focus on building independent living skills, work skills, and personal confidence in a supportive, friendly, and engaging environment.

We are looking for an experienced individual to teach across a range of courses, including Vocational Pathways, Independent Living, Work Skills, and core subjects such as English and maths. The role involves contributing to curriculum design and delivery, working alongside a team of specialist teachers. While you don't need expertise in every area, knowledge across several would be highly beneficial. You will also have access to our specialist facilities to support your teaching.

Learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom. Students benefit from opportunities to learn in the community, at our horticultural centre, and through projects such as animal care and independent initiatives. You will be joining a passionate team committed to creating the best possible learning environment for every student.

OUR BENEFITS

  • 35 days annual leave
  • 3 additional company closure days during the festive season
  • Birthday off
  • UK Bank Holidays (entitlement will be pro-rated for part-time employees)
  • Generous Pension Scheme
  • Professional development opportunities, including professional qualifications.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) accessible 24 hours per day, 365 days per year
  • A variety of amazing discounts with NUS Card, Blue Light Card and our reward and recognition platform
  • Employee wellbeing platform
  • Access to a variety of EDIB related Employee Networks
  • Great working environment with complementary parking at both our Milton Keynes and Bletchley sites
