Neurosurgery Patient Pathway Assistant

The postholder will work closely with theSkull Base Neurosurgery team to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Neurosurgery service. This role combines responsibilities for managing outpatient appointments and coordinating complex inpatient and daycase activity. Key duties include ensuring the efficient scheduling of specialist clinics, admissions and theatre lists, maintaining accurate patient records and delivering a high quality, responsive service to patients, clinicians and external stakeholders. • · Support the Skull Base Neurosurgery team by managing patient admissions and scheduling in line with NHS standards and Trust policies.
• · Maintain elective and urgent waiting lists; add, remove and update patient details in accordance with the Trust Patient Access Policy.
• · Book and coordinate theatre lists, outpatient clinics, pre-operative assessments, diagnostic investigations and operation dates, ensuring accurate and timely PAS/EPR records.
