Full Job Description

The Department of Clinical Neurophysiology provides a comprehensive range of adult and paediatric diagnostic services including EEG, prolonged EEG, ambulatory EEG, video telemetry, EMG, nerve conduction studies and evoked potentials. Working alongside consultant colleagues, physiologists and trainee clinical scientists, you will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of Neurophysiology services across the Health Board.,

  • Provide consultant-led Clinical Neurophysiology services.
  • Interpret and report EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies and evoked potentials.
  • Support service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to teaching, training and supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit and research activities.

    Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Clinical Neurophysiology, or within 6 months of CCT at interview date.
  • Experience across a broad range of Neurophysiology diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
  • Desirable Criteria
  • Additional teaching or educational qualifications.
  • Experience in service development, audit or research.
