Full Job Description
- Provide specialist neurophysiology services including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies for adult and paediatric patients.
- Interpret and report neurophysiological investigations accurately and promptly.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support teaching and training of medical students, trainees, and clinical scientists.
- Engage in continuing professional development and maintain GMC revalidation requirements. Job Plan:
- 10 PAs per week (8 DCC, 1-2 SPA)
- Outpatient neurophysiology clinics and diagnostic reporting sessions (approx. up to 6 per week)
- No on-call commitment, Dedicated administrative and technical support
- Opportunities for research, teaching, and leadership development
- Flexible working and LTFT applications welcomed
- Mentoring support for new consultants
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurophysiologist to join our expanding Neurosciences team. This is a substantive, full-time post based at Kent & Canterbury Hospital, with cross-site responsibilities as required. Salary: £109,725 - £145,478 per annum. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality neurophysiology services, supporting diagnosis and management of neurological disorders across the Trust.
