Network Migration Engineer

We are currently hiring for a Network Migration Engineer to support our Financial Services provider client based in London., We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Network Migration Engineer to support the Cloud transformation project. The Network Migration Engineer will be responsible for the planning and implementation of network infrastructure changes to support the migration. This role involves working closely with application owners, project managers, network engineering and operations teams ensuring the smooth transition of applications as they move from on-premise to AWS. Role Responsibilities

• Proactively work with application stake holders to assist with the migration of applications to AWS. Includes low level analysis of application traffic flows to identify network dependencies, ensuring seamless application migration.
• Transpose application design to network deployment across AWS, Cisco Devices, F5 LTM/GTM & Fortinet Firewalls.
• Deliver migration plans, with a thorough understanding on networked applications and related dependencies.
• Ensure compliance to delivery methodology operational structure, roles & responsibilities.
• Support the PM in resolution of project issues.
• Guide other consultants and engineers, resolving challenges and ensuring project success.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing by maintaining accurate documentation and KB articles
  
  Essential
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network security practices.
• Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform and networking technologies (eg, VPN, DNS, load balancing).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network-related issues quickly and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Desired
• Proficiency in Scripting languages (eg, Python, Bash) and automation tools (eg, Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (eg, Thousandeyes, Solarwinds, Corvil).
• Cisco, Fortinet, F5 Certifications or equivalent.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SRE principles.
