Network Cable Apprenticeship

Introduction

VQ Solutions is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual to launch their career as a Network Cable Installer with Safecontrol. In this varied, practical role, you will work alongside experienced engineers installing both network cabling and fibre networks nationwide.

Established in 1986, Safecontrol is recognised as one of the leading companies within the data communications industry.  Based in Louth, Lincolnshire, they have a broad spectrum of clients throughout the UK.  Their client base includes: The NHS, HM Prison Service, local council, education, construction and electrical, retailers and manufacturing and logistics.

What You'll Do

• Assisting with the installation of network cabling and fibre optic cabling
• Dealing with customers
• Carrying out site surveys
• Testing systems and providing customer training on the systems
• Maintaining and servicing existing systems
• Respond to call-outs and fault finding

Training Outcome

The majority of our apprentices are offered full-time roles upon the successful completion of their apprenticeship.

Working Arrangements

Working Week: Monday to Friday - exact shifts to be confirmed. There is the possibility of weekend work also.
