About you: We are looking for someone enthusiastic about tackling the climate crisis, who can proactively support the Net Zero Team. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external colleagues. A passion for sharing climate change knowledge, good organisational skills, adaptable to changing workloads and a data-driven mindset.

Our aim is to reach the Council's Net Zero ambition, to work together to overcome challenges, take action and to demonstrate leadership and innovation.
About the team: This post sits within the City Centre & Net Zero team, with a focus on delivering net zero for Exeter City Council as an organisation. If successful, you will support the Net Zero team on project delivery, managing City Council energy consumption, annual greenhouse gas reporting. You will support all services within the City Council to deliver the Council's Carbon Reduction Plan to achieve net zero, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are an important factor for the success of this post. The role supports the City Council's Key Corporate Priorities, with all staff and elected members playing their own role in delivering Net Zero and a leading sustainable city.
